Speech Therapy in English & German

In Germany, you can receive speech therapy from so-called 'Logopäden' or academic speech therapists, who have a university degree. Although there is no fundamental difference between the services offered by these professionals, each therapist brings their own experience, personality and approach into the therapy situation and each therapeutic relationship is perfectly unique. Find out more about me here

Here are just some of the areas that I can help you with:

  • speech developmental delay/disorder
  • articulation disorders
  • late talkers
  • echolalia and gestalt language processing
  • auditory processing disorder
  • word finding difficulties
  • selective mutism
  • verbal dyspraxia (motor coordination difficulty affecting pronunciation)
  • expressive language disorder (difficulties putting sentences together in a structured way)
  • receptive language disorder (difficulties understanding what others say)
  • Advice and support around raising a multilingual child

You will need a prescription from a paediatrician or other medical doctor for speech therapy.

See immediate improvements in your child's learning experience with Klipp und Klar, a 2-tier learning concept by Brigitte Haberda.

1. Within the first session, you will gain a deeper understanding of how YOUR child learns and receive individually-tailored learning strategies to provide immediate improvement in your child's current learning experience.

2. Further sessions include ongoing analysis and optimisation of weak or underdeveloped key skills necessary for learning. To name a few: visual, auditory, tactile awareness & processing skills, energy levels, hemispheric integration, balance, hand-eye coordination... The process is highly individual and goal-orientated, with each child focusing on improving the skills relevant and necessary for their own learning experience. By breaking through learning blocks and building up weaker skills, your child will rediscover the joy of learning without the hours of tedious practise on symptom level, typical of regular "extra lessons".

Integrated reflexes are fundamental for learning, effective communication, concentration, emotional and impulse management, unhindered mobility. Reflexes are automatic, instinctual movements that start very early on in development and form the foundation of the nervous system. As each reflex completes it's specific purpose, it merges into more sophisticated movements and triggers the next reflex into action. Ideally, all primitive and early childhood reflexes become completely integrated.

Due to factors such as limited movement, stress during pregnancy or birth, illness, environmental toxins, any number of reflexes may remain active. This can lead to mild or severe symptoms, such as anxiety, ADD, ADHD, learning disorders, developmental delay, behavioral challenges, sensory-integration disorders to name a few. In adults and children, the body gets stuck in a fight or flight pattern, leading to chronic or habitual stress.

Reflex integration training allows the central nervous system to be effectively rebooted with simple movements, practiced daily at home. All reflex integration exercises are tailor-made to suit your specific needs. Whether you are looking to transform your own or a child's challenges into strengths, reflex integration is key!
